Stopping Elder Abuse: Attorney-General Announces National Plan to Address the “Critical Issue”

A National Plan to address elder abuse will be developed to ensure the protection of older people in our community. Attorney-General, Christian Porter, announced the National Plan today, in a speech to the Fifth National Elder Abuse Conference in Sydney. New Stronger Flu Vaccine for Older Australians after 2017’s Deadly Outbreak

Call for Help: Elderly Abuse Hotline Red Hot, To Be Expanded

An elderly abuse hotline has been receiving so many calls that the NSW State Government has been forced to appoint caseworkers to help with referrals. The NSW Elder Abuse Helpline and Resource Unit will now have caseworkers who will help was referring callers to the appropriate agencies and each complaint followed-up and monitored.
